How To Get Started

Do you want to jump right in (to a warm new eating experience) or tip toe in? Either is fine. The goal is to arrive at the place of healthy eating

It is important to decide why you want to change your health

  • for yourself
  • your family – partner, spouse, children, or parents
  • be a better role model
  • save the environment
  • improve the treatment of animals
  • save money on your grocery and health care bills

Begin with the intellectual change: learn all you can about the benefits of plant- based nutrition. There are many videos and web sites which can provide a wealth of information as well as testimonials from those who have made a dramatic change in their health. See resources under Plant- Based Nutrition for this information

What I can do to help you begin:

I am available to travel to your organization or meet with your group to provide an introduction to plant- based nutrition. Typical programs range from 2 to 6 hours. In addition, I can collaborate with your organization to award nursing continuing education for all the presentations.

In one organization I worked with, 86% of participants reported losing weight. They had an average cholesterol drop of 23 points, with 3 participants dropping more than 42 points in just 3 weeks.
